The California Council on Science and Technology (CCST) is a 501(c)(3) organization governed by a 18-member board of directors. The CCST Board is responsible for all aspects of CCST's organization and activities.

Some of California's and the Nation's most distinguished public and private sector leaders serve on the CCST Board of Directors. The fifteen directors are representatives of the major California academic institutions that sustain CCST, prominent industry leaders, and the CCST Executive Director. The Board establishes CCST policy and provides oversight to the Council. This unique partnership between academia and industry strives to ensure California's science and technology leadership position both nationally and globally.
