Henry Riggs is president emeritus of both Harvey Mudd College and Keck Graduate Institute (KGI), 1997-2003, and served as chairman of the board of trustees at KGI. Riggs is also professor emeritus, Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, Stanford University. He has a wide range of experience drawn from over 40 years as an engineer, professor, academic administrator, and senior executive in the high-tech industry. He served as a member of the California Council on Science and Technology from 1999-2004 and was appointed a fellow in 2004.

Riggs holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a BS in industrial engineering from Stanford University and Doctorate of Engineering (Honorary) from Harvey Mudd College and Keck Graduate Institute. His areas of academic specialization include management technology, technical strategy, new venture management, financial analysis and control. He is the author of Financial and Economic Analysis for Engineering and Technology Management, John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2004, and Managing High-Technology Companies, Wadsworth, 1983.
